Discraft Nuke SS for Sale/Trade ($11)

This Discraft Nuke SS Z-line 174g Disc is nearly a brand NEW disc. I’ve literally only thrown it a handful of times. It is a Z-line model plastic which means it’s the most durable, has truer flights, and last 2-3 times longer than other discs. This disc is great for beginning players because it allows you to get the distance of much more advanced players with less power. It hooks a lil much at slow speeds for my taste, but it must just be how I throw. I’ve got a few friends that love Nukes. This high-vis yellow Nuke SS has no dings at all. It has a minor surface scratch on underside of rim and has some ink on the back. The stamp on top is perfectly intact. Great disc. It says it’s a 174g and I’d rate its condition as 5/5.
I’m willing to trade this disc as well. I’m looking for brightly colored Innova Pro Katanas between 167-172g weight. Let me know!

Innova DX Aviar Putter for Sale ($6)

I bought this early on when I first started playing but haven’t ever gotten the feel of it down. I know lots of people use these, but I still use my heavily-banged up, “trusty” Leopard to putt with–go figure. Anyway, this disc hasn’t seen much use in years–or really at all for that matter.
It’s fairly clean with light scratches on the stamp and few scuffs around the rim. I’d rate its condition at about a 4/5. There are no dings nor ink! This DX Aviar Putter is 170g and flies great. It flies straight if thrown at the right speed. Its numbers are 2|3|0|1. Contact me if you’re interested!

Innova DX Wraith for Sale ($4)

I like the Wraiths. I’ve thrown them in the DX, Pro, and Star models and love their performance. I’ve had this Innova DX Wraith for sometime now although I never threw it near as much as the Star model I had. Now it’s taking up room in my bag and I’d like to sell it.
This DX Wraith is 169g and its condition I’d say is about 2.5/5. It has normal scuffs and scratches on it will a ding on the rim towards its top edge. The stamp on front is weathered a bit and it does have ink on the back. This is a good long, stable distance driver that performs really well with tailwinds. Great for any skill level.

Innova Champion Groove for Sale/Trade ($9)

I’ve got an Innova Champion Groove 167g Disc for sale for $9. I would rate this Groove’s condition at about a 4/5.
This is a great, high-speed disc that throws long and straight. It has a cupped underside “groove” on the rim that allows this disc to be made into lighter weights than its other fellow wide-rimmed drivers. It can be thrown low or high and sidearm or backhand. This disc has not been thrown too many times. It has a few minor surface scratches but no major scuffs of dings. It does have a tiny nick in the rim but does not affect the flight. Great disc.
I am also willing to trade for a new Katana (preferably brightly colored 167-172g) Let me know if you’re interested.

Personal Best Back-2-Back Rounds at North Jasper Park

This past weekend I was in town for Mother’s Day and was able to get out for a few hours on Saturday. So, of course, I took to the disc golf course with my brother and Dad. We fought spells of wind for the part of the first round after a slow start on the first few holes. Now this Par 3 course, you really need to score low on the front with its holes averaging ~150 because the longer back holes will get ya. Much of the round was close scores between the three of us, but I dominated the back nine. Had a great shot on #18, about <20 ft from the pin and blew it on my birdie shot to tie my personal record for that course.. I lofted it too high and the wind took it carrying it a distance further away from the pin than where I just threw from..just great. Ended up sinking that par shot throwing into the wind to stay at -5! Dad ended up finishing -2 (personal best) and Chad finished in at -3.
With such a great round behind us, we had to get in another before the rain came in. Started out hot and was landing my drives within 20 ft each time. Sinking most of them, I took an early lead with several birds up my sleeve. Had many more stellar shots to follow and had a ~330 ft drive on #15 into open fairway. I failed short, hard, on a 48 ft. birdie attempt. Saved par. Moving on. As well as the rain clouds, but on top of us. Bottom’s falling out, but I can’t stop shooting this well. Ended with an awesome drive on #18 that landed ~10 ft from the basket. Sank it for bird, to go -6 and tie-ing my personal best score there. Yeaa!

Blizzard Champion Discs: Floating the Idea

I was recently in Play It Again Sports the other week when I happened to come across a handful of a new plastic type from Innova. Very brightly colored I had to pick one up to see what it was. To my surprise it was extremely light and felt like I was lifting air. I had never seen or heard of these Blizzard Champion discs before. I asked the guy at the front desk and he was telling me they had just received a large shipment of them from Innova and that it was some of their latest technology. With that being about all he knew about them, I had to do some research.
I asked around and have heard nothing but good things about them from a few locals and friends. This latest technology incorporates tiny “microbubbles” into the plastic for a much lower weight and higher speed. These discs range as low as 130g to 150+g. I like the concept of these lighter discs and that they’ll float on water as well. That’ll help build my confidence on windy days throwing across the pond on White Oak #17 for sure. I haven’t bought one (or three) yet, but I’ve got my eye on them. Just trying to find out a bit more about them and hear from you guys, our visitors on what you think about them. My fav driver to throw is a Katana ~172g to throw. I throw pretty hard so I’m not sure how these much lighter Blizzard Champion Katanas would do. I’m willing to give it a try, but want to know more. From looking online and on Innova’s site I did come across the vid of David Wiggins New World Record Distance launch of 836′ with a Blizzard Champion Boss, dannnng son!
Here’s what I’m looking for-

Sequoyah’s Boats and Throws

We finally get a weekend with the perfect disc golf weather. And of course, we took full advantage of it. Saturday’s plan was to hit at least two courses and bring back the return of DG Retrieval Mission: Part II. This time, with a boat son!
DG Retrieval Mission: II
Several weeks ago I had a stray that zipped through the droopy pines and spun off into the plastic chair-filled mud runoff of a ‘pond’. Not dare stepping foot in that, I opted for a $16 inflatable boat off Amazon. I thought this would make a practical solution combined with a fishing net to retrieve my sunken disc and perhaps a few more.

The morning started off fairly windy and without an anchor, it only made the situation worse out there. As I tapped around aimlessly on the muddy bottom hoping to hit something plastic, I failed and brought up everything and anything but plastic. Plus, every time I tried to scoop it sent me in a tailspin doing donuts in a kid-sized inflatable boat in the middle of park with a little league baseball game going on in the distance. If they had a jumbotron at that game, I was bound to be on it. You’d think with the money I spent on the boat I could just replace that disc, but no. It meant more to me than that. And who’s NOT up for an adventure, right? Even if I found one disc, it would’ve pretty much payed for itself. No luck today in finding my disc—or any disc—but I’m not giving up.
‘Throw’down:
After wasting a good half hour paddling in circles, it was time to play. A bit windy, but temp was nice and it’d been awhile since Justin and I’d hit the course. He lead for much of the round—even going up by 4 at one point. I made a slight comeback on the back 9 tie-ing it back up going into #18. Neither one of us had a good round and both finished at +10. Ugh. Highlight of the round, Justin’s ~60 ft. birdie shot on #13. This beauty was around the back of the rim, no chains. Stuck it. [Note: This is the same hole Darren hit that 130-footer a few weeks earlier.]

Sudden Death Defeat

What an eventful weekend it was. Our short trip to Alabama did allow for a few rounds of disc golf at my hometown’s North Jasper Disc Golf Park.
This course is a fairly easy and short course but the unforgiving wind conditions always take a toll on your scores. With few trees on this fairly flat and wide open course, knowing how to play into the wind becomes a vital factor.
Saturday morning, Stephen, Jeremiah and I took on the rolling flatness of this fore mentioned park. The previous week’s rains left for some marshy areas and muddy tee pads. Great. The wind came into play on the back 9 and really got me on #18 when it took my sailing disc and carried it damn near the parking lot. Awesome…I now have as long a drive to the basket from here than I did from the tee pad. Bogeying that hole knocked me to +1.
Saturday, a few hours later, Dad and Eliz join me for yet another round. It’d been awhile since I’d played that course with my Dad–granted too that he’d only started playing several months back and a handful of times at that. So I was just about to find out how much he’d improved. To much of my dismay, he took an early lead as I struggled hitting long putts. He had me on those shorter holes for sure as trees instantly became magnets to my throws. So Dad kept a 1-2 stroke lead up until about 15 when I tied it up. Got another back on 16. Missed a gimme putt on 17 to drop back and even it back up…Tie on 18.
Can’t stop now, it’s sudden death son.
Tie #1. Hole #2, Dad lands less than 10 ft from the hole. I fly about 20 ft past the basket leaving me up to my trusty Leopard and my putting skills. Hit that long bird shot to tie #2. Hole #3, I’m up and sail one 30+ ft past the hole and, of course Dad, lands a few feet from within the basket. Gees. This is it, my only hope. 30 ft ringer—which I practice regularly in my yard—to send it into Hole 4 Sudden Death or either a few month’s bragging rights for Dad. No pressure, right? I toss one high and straight on…banks slight right clanking the chains and sails on past…done, that’s it. Game over. Dad goes Crazy; calls my bro on speakerphone to tell him the news and I have yet to hear the end of it. Haha great game Ham! Well played, well played. My Dad beats me at my own game. He loves it.

DK’s 130-ft Ringer

It’s been a while again since a Dogleg weekend update, so I figured it was due. This past weekend was a messy one with all the rain, unstable temps, and heavy fog but somehow we still managed to squeeze in a few rounds. After three earlier failed attempts of playing early Saturday due to rain, the sun finally appeared and I made a beeline to the closest park. Discgolf on the weekends to me is pretty much a necessity. I will find any chance or excuse I can get to get out there and huck discs for a few hours.
Saturday: Sequoyah Park — Canton, GA
Started out doing well until I reached the back 9, then fell apart. Had an awesome shot on a 148-ft. right hook hole #7. Whipped it around the trees, through the chains…out of the basket. NOOO! Another lost chance at an Ace. I’m destined to get one soon I swear. That makes about basket #6 that I’ve hit on a drive and failed to stick one. Back 9, starting to come unglued when I lost my best driver in a small pond and then triple-bogeyed the very next hole.. Seriously. Finished +12.
Sunday Part I: Sequoyah Park – Round 2 for me
Sunday morning we set out for me another round and a new one for Justin and Darren. Started out slow and killed it the back 9 this time. Everything seemed to be flying right for me this round. We get to hole #13, par shot, and Darren CHINGS one from about 130-ft out! That’s one of the longest ringers we’ve witnessed. Awesome shot! Especially knowing this would his 3rd or 4th round to ever play. I ended up finishing strong with my course record of +5! I was pretty thrilled. We’ve always played this park as a Par 3 course. Does anyone know if there’s any 4’s here? There’s several holes near 400 ft that I don’t see anyway how they’re 3’s. I’d love to know.

Sunday Part II: Wills Park — Alpharetta, GA
Justin and I head to Alpharetta for one more round at Wills. Misting heavily and lower 50’s temps—this quickly became one of the worst round conditions I’ve played in yet. Too far a drive to turn around now, it’s game time. After bogeying the first hole and nailing a tree less than 20 ft on the Hole #2, I knew this wasn’t going to be a fun round. Then comes Hole #3, and what are we welcomed to halfway down the fairway? …was this some mystical fairytale? No.. equestrian girls gallantly jumping the tiny brook with their horses in the middle of the DG course. Um..no not dangerous at all. The problem was, one of the horses would not cross the water. We wait.. and wait… and wait until Justin finally walks down there and tries to get them to get out of the way. Justin takes the win on this course finishing his course best at +6 and I trailed with +9.

In Search of Roswell

East Roswell, to be exact. Sunday, here, looks to be the nicest weather we’ve had in a few weeks. So yes we will be taking advantage of that. A few of us are looking to take on Sequoyah first, then heading to East Roswell (E.Ros as I like to call it) to hit up their heavily wooded course.
Anyone in the area that would like to join us for a Sunday DG adventure, let us know. We’d love to meet up. Hoping you other guys are able to get out this weekend for a round or two. Looking forward to hearing some stories. Check back later this weekend for our trip recap.

NYE at Flyboy!

All I can say is, wow. What an awesome Saturday morning to be out playing disc golf. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Clear skies, low 60s and very little wind if any. This trip we’ve talked up for months and the day had finally arrived. The majority of the Dogleg Team drove in from Alabama and met two of us from Georgia yesterday morning at Flyboy Aviation in Whitesburg, GA.
Flyboy Aviation is a private disc golf mecca located on and around a private gated community airpark. It is made up of 27 holes—11 of which are considered water holes—that range anywhere from around an uphill 190 ft hole to a winding, slightly elevated 1,080 ft monster. This course has a variety of terrain and elevation changes that’s 12291 ft in total length with a par of 95. Flyboy is one of the top-rated courses in the country and a MUST for any disc golf enthusiast!
There was 7 of us in altogether, but they only allowed 4-5 per group to play; so we split into two groups. We started around 10:30am and finished the last hole around 4:30pm. Yes, 6 hours of playing with only breaking once for an on-site lunch. The course was beautiful and very well maintained. Each hole had a tee sign with a rubber teebox and equipped with a broom to dust off the teebox area.

Hole #3 was the first water beast of a hole. It’s roughly 440 ft from the teepad to the water’s edge. Then you had roughly a 285 shot to the basket from there to the basket. You needed a good 250 shot to clear the lake. Sweet setup, but scary this early on. Felt like we were in for a very long day after this one. The course is a nice mix of long, open fairways mixed with tighter, narrower baskets through the woods. Lots of elevation changes kept it interesting and challenging. There were a few holes that required you playing down the edge of the lake which really called for precision on your throws. I couldn’t imagine playing this course on a windy day, forget that unless you have a bag full of floaters.
As the day went on, the holes got harder, further and more challenging. Not to mention getting sore and tired from hucking long drives on several 700+ ft holes. All in all, it was a great day out on the field with most of us together playing an exclusive pro-level private course. Very glad we had to the opportunity to play and would love the chance to be able to play again soon.
TIPS: Make sure you grab the course map from the clubhouse. It’ll help you remember where the basket is after you’re already 8 throws in and forgotten where the heck you’re throwing towards. Bring SEVERAL extra discs. If it’s your first time playing this course, you’re bound to lose one in the drink..or three or four. If it’s hot, bring a swimsuit, you may actually swim and find your’s or twelve others. If you’re not comfortable throwing over water or don’t want to lose your fav disc, take the drop. But yea, bring older cheaper discs for the water holes unless you know you can chuck one 250+ consistently. Bring drinks/snacks with you. It’s a long way back to the hangar for this once you get past the first few holes. DO NOT litter. Please help keep this park up and well-maintained. By far, the nicest, cleanest course I’d ever played.

78-ft Ringer and a Gold Record

After more than a week absent from a disc golf course, Justin and I finally were able to hit the course. Our last few meet-ups at Oregon Park we started throwing from the back tees, the Golds. It’s definitely more of a challenge and allows you to really unleash some hella throws on those long Par 4s. Oregon Park’s Gold has a nice blend of long holes mixed with shorter technical holes.
Anyways, back to my story. I started off a little slow and bogeyed the first hole (standard). As the holes progressed I got on fire and lucked up on some long drives and approach shots. Starting off the back 9, I had my longest drive on Hole 10 yet. This drive left me a slightly obstructed birdie attempt from nearly 80 ft out. The only tree in my way was one about 5 ft to the left between me and the basket. Me being a lefty, yes it was in the way. So I took out my trusty Leopard, angled it towards me and released a high anhyzer shot. It sailed around the tree and turned over to the right as it started to descend. CaCHING. Walked it off, 78 ft.
I was proud. Finished out EVEN which would be my new course record from the Gold tees.
B’ham Play

Hey guys! Gees has it been like a decade since we posted last. I know we’ve all been extremely busy; its been crazy here. But just wanted to let you guys know–more than likely–I’ll be in town this coming weekend (Sept. 23-25). I was wanting to know if any of you guys want to get up to play a few rounds. Well guys, you’re probably not going to believe this, but… Justin, Zack and I hit up OP (Oregon Park) last night and I had both my record round for that course and my all-time low score! Teeing off from the closest set of teepads, I managed to pick up 9 birds and only 1 bogey for the round. I birdied 6 of the last 9 holes to finish out at -8! Score! I couldn’t believe it. I’d say it’s time to move back to the gold teepads.

Last Week’s GA Recap

I was fortunate enough to beat the heat and make it out to a course two days straight last week. It had almost been a full week and I’d started to have major disc golf withdrawals. I need my DG fix at least ONCE a week. It keeps me sane I guess. JK, but really.
Part I—Sequoyah Park (Canton, GA).
Tuesday was the first day last week that Chad and I headed out to play. This time, to Sequoyah Park. I’d played there a few times before, but Chad had never been. Sequoyah’s a little longer drive from here than our ‘home’ course of Oregon Park, but to me it’s worth that extra 10 min. Reason being, there’s hardly a soul that plays Sequoyah late during the week—at least lately. Oregon Park sets in the front of a large park complex and next to a seemingly, sumptuous neighborhood. Which means it has lots of traffic and park enthusiasts that roam the newly renovated course’s green hills. Don’t get me wrong, I love the new layout, but it’s the frequent overcrowding and awaiting large groups ahead to play on that gets me. Oregon Park is a very popular course indeed. With two sets of teepads and baskets per hole, get ready to deal with the possibility of other groups playing your same hole from the other set of tees. Heads up, some back teepads may be blind to the front set. I tend to play fast and it burns me when you trail larger groups for several holes and they never bother to let you play through. Disc golf is a fun and relaxing sport, yes, but seriously. Have respect for those smaller groups and the “Speedy Gonzales” out there that may just want to play through. Sorry, I digress.
ANYWAYS, we arrive and hit the course immediately. No other groups in sight, score! I nailed much of the round until the last four holes… My best round here prior was +11. I was shooting only +3 after 14 holes! Then on #15, I proceeded to triple bogey, double, then bogey, bogey. WTH. I added another 7 strokes in the last 4 holes! I couldn’t believe it. Arhg this was not good, but I still managed to finish my best yet there at +10. Chad did a heck of a lot better on the back 9 than I did, finishing out at +17.
Let me tell you, Sequoyah is rough once the sun starts to set—mostly wooded holes, thick canopies and tall grass. We had several search parties that killed daylight playing time. I need more brightly colored discs for sure.
Part II—Oregon Park (Marietta, GA).
Wednesday rolls around and Chad and I take to the course again. This time back to our home course, with Justin. Justin and I play Oregon all the time, but this would be his first since its renovation. A fun, great round altogether, we all 3 stayed neck-to-neck for much of the round. I flubbed off deep into the ‘jungle brush’ on a wayward forehand shot on #5 which left me double-bogeying that debacle. Justin ching’d a few 25+ ft shots that helped put him in the lead towards the end. Justin and Chad ended up both finishing out at -2, while I finished E. Great game to both of them—Justin’s third consecutive round beating me Haha. Time to do work this week.

Discasaurus – New Disc Golf Score Tracking App for the iPhone/Android!

Hey guys I’ve got a new disc golf app that you all should check out!
It’s a brand new app that will hit the App Store within the next week or two. I’ve been messing around trying out a TestFlight version of this app most of the day today and I would like to share my review with you.
| Interface: First off, the name of the app is called Discasaurus. This is a score tracking disc golf app unlike any other I’ve come across out there. Its interface is very user-friendly and has a nice, polished look to all the graphics. A lot of the free disc golf apps I’ve used before have crappy graphics and appear as if they were thrown together in Microsoft Paint. Not this one. I really like its web 2.0 look and feel. The text is very legible and the buttons are large—great for those with clumsy thumbs and on-the-fly scoring. Now let me take a few minutes to introduce and walk you through this handy app. You’ll be able to set up and start using this app by the time you reach the end of this article. Bet. |

| Getting Started: Setup The setup process maybe takes 3-5 minutes, so here it goes! To get started, you’ll need to upload the course directory for your state. This is quick and very easy to do. From the main screen, you’ll go to “Settings” and hit “Update Course Directory.” Simply find your state and hit update. I was impressed by how quickly the courses loaded. When I selected Georgia, it was a mere 4 sec and boom!, loaded. You’ll probably be prompted to allow GPS location so it can find nearby courses for your area. From there, select your course and choose between the Blue or White tees, then hit “Start.” At some point it will ask you to enter your name, email address and choose a disc color. I would recommend taking a few extra minutes and sign up on Discasaurus.com (This will be extra beneficial later. Hold your horses, I’ll get to that part later.) =) |

| Starting a Round: Scoring Now you’re ready to start! Scoring on this app is very intuitive—simply tap the screen for each shot you took. ie. If you scored a par, tap the screen 3 times. One thing that was confusing to me was how to correct your scoring if you messed up. I tend to type/tap fast and I accidentally tapped one too many strokes for a particular hole. At first, I couldn’t figure out how to reset the hole but after playing around several minutes, tapping everything possible and visible on the screen, I finally figured it out. Simply press down on the screen for 2 seconds and it will reset that hole. Upon later troubleshoot, I found two more ways to correct the scoring. 1) Two-finger touch decreases score by one stroke; 2) Three-finger touch resets the score too with a vibration. However, I do wish there was some sort of Tutorial that had a few quick instructions on setting up/scoring. It’s all pretty straightforward, but that confusion earlier created a slight roadblock for me. To advance to the next hole, just swipe your finger to the left and you’ll jump to the next hole. You can go back a hole by swiping your finger to the right. Get ready for this. Some of the best is yet to come! When you finish out the 18th screen, you have the option of submitting your score to Discasaurus’ website. This is where the Sign Up from earlier will come into play. |

Little Ace-Hole

So its a Thursday evening, overcast, and getting darker by the minute due to cloud cover. I get home from work a little later than expected. My brother and I had already made plans to go play disc golf, so I couldn’t pass that up. We load up and head for Oregon Park which is about some odd 25 min away. We arrive around 8pm and barely find a decent parking spot—lots of people out playing!
Thanks to a nice group of guys ahead of us, they let us play through. I always play fast; therefore, I highly appreciate others that understand the game and are considerate of letting smaller, faster groups play through—as I do too. So thank you to those that do. Anyways, we get to Hole #4 and Chad (my brother) is up first. We’re playing from the short tees (Silver) this round and now about to tee off from behind a downed tree. While this course is still undergoing renovation, the tee signs are not yet up with the distances. We estimated it to be some 200-220 ft to the basket. OK, keep in mind that Chad’s played maybe ~15 rounds of disc golf in his entire life. Winds up with his signature style and releases one high and to the right. Right as the disc starts to turn over, he calls out “Ohhh it’s goinnnng in…”. The disc breaks back to the left, behind the trees and starts its decent. The white disc is slicing downward hard-left faster than Diemon Dave’s “Judi Chop”. It’s looking like it will be awfully close at that angle from here. Next thing you know, caCHING! …freakin’ ACED it! Chad, in much shock, turns around and stares at me like “No way that just happened”. Then a guy on a neighboring hole yells out “Great Shot!” I couldn’t believe it. He couldn’t either. It was ridiculous—yet very pretty.
So he goes 2 under right away and continues to hold the lead the remaining of the round. Like I mentioned in the previous post, he finished -1 and I finished out Even. For those of you that know me, you know how much I praise the Innova Leopards. What did he just ace this with? You guessed it, DX Leopard. Great round. Still in shock. Now I’m trying to get him to join the blog. —jt

The 36-Fix

That’s right, 36. One of my favorite local courses (also my home course), Oregon Park, has now been upgraded to 36 holes! This newly renovated course is much longer than the previous, less crowded, and now has two sets of teepads and baskets per hole. Awesome! Right now its a mix between concrete and dirt pads. Talked to one of the locals the other day and he said they’re still working on getting the signs made up for each hole. I’m pretty pumped about the new course layout. This will give me many more reasons to go play there this summer. I’d played the old course for so long it was getting a little too easy for me. Not that it was necessarily an easy course to start with, it just wasn’t much of a challenge anymore—even from the back blue tees.
The new Oregon Park course has quite a few dogleg holes that play to right-hander’s advantage. Me, being the lefty that I am, will make it much more challenging and will require me to bring back the flickin’. Always up for the challenge, I love this course again already! Another interesting part about this new setup—I don’t know if it was intentional in design or not—is the easier ability to play thru. By this I mean, with the two sets of tee pads separated a good distance apart to the side, you can play thru slower groups quicker and easier by throwing from the other set. I saw this happen a few times the other day. Seems like it could be a good idea…until someone gets clocked in the temple from an unruly tomahawk toss from out of the brush.
Holes #1-4, 7, and 9-15 are all new. #5 Silver is the old #1, #5 Gold crosses the old #17. #6 is part of the old #2. #8 is the old #5 going uphill. #16 is the old #9. #17 is the old #10, and the old #11 is now #18.
I went this past Tuesday with some friends and ended up finishing +1 on the Silver tees (closest set). I hope to make it back this eve to play from the Gold (back) tees. You guys need to make it up one weekend this summer. There’s so many here to hit up!

*UPDATE: My brother and I hit up Oregon Park again tonight. He actually took the cake with -1 and I finished Even. We ended up playing the Silver (close) tees again. Great story ahead. Look for next post coming within next 24 hrs.
New Dogleg Promo Ideas

Hey guys, so I’ve been playing around today with some new means of Dogleg promo material & merchandise. First up, Dogleg Disc Golf golf towels. I’m looking into the pricing on these, but these could run anywhere from $6-12 a piece. The design I mocked up is for a black outline of the logo to be printed on a white towel. We may could do a white fill of the logo printed on a dark or black towel too.
If you’re like me, you tend to get your disc wet a lot. More times than not, I find myself trying to dry a sunken disc off with nothing other than my shirt or shorts. I think a handy golf towel would be a great idea and must for any disc golfer. So why not a Dogleg one?! Secondly, there’s always stickers that we could make up. These would be black/white vinyl and be great to hand out or slap on your car, bulletin board, street sign, or even your mom’s fridge. These would run us somewhere around $40+shipping for 250 4.25″ oval stickers. Black on white, or white on black. What do you guys think? |

Where’s Jeremiah at on these boards? Haha. Jeremiah, tell me about this NukeSS you have. I thought I remembered you having one that day we all played at George Ward. I need a couple more good backhand drivers to try out and was wanting to get your thoughts. How does the NukeSS compare to the AvengerSS for those of you that have thrown them? I’ve only been throwing Innova now, but wanted to maybe branch out and try some Discrafts.
Speaking of missing, where’s ol’ buddy ol’ Carson? He disappeared quicker than Stephen’s Star Beast as it trailed off into the sunset atop George Ward’s jungle canopy that day. Now lets hear it from the Dogleg Texan crew.

Innova Star TeeRex for Sale/Trade ($10)

- Innova Star TeeRex 175g
| I’ve been buying several discs here lately off eBay. I’ll buy them in lots, give them a few whirls then keep the ones that work well with my style. Here I have an Innova Star TeeRex 175g distance driver. It is in great condition; I’d probably give it a 4.5/5. This is a fast, stable to overstable driver. I’m a lefty, so this disc—for some reason—does not perform well with my style and technique. Maybe I’m just throwing it incorrectly, but nonetheless it’s taking up room in my bag and I’d like to sell or trade it. It’s supposed to be good for throwing into the wind and flicking. Innova’s flight ratings for the TeeRex are 11-4-0-4. The only inking on this disc is my name/another name marked through on the backside. It has a few smudge marks on it, but no dings or scratches.
